My name is Jollycka from the Philippines, 22 years old, single. I together with my parents, as well as sis and bro living in a remote area in the farm. Our shelter is made up of light materials only such bamboo and we used nipa hut for the roofing. I'm the eldest among the five siblings. I haven't yet into relationship since birth. No boyfriend at all. Never been touch, never been kiss. I was not able to continue my study in high school because my parents can't afford for the expenses. If I'm given a chance, I really want to continue my study until I finish college. I always pray that God will grant me my wish to continue my schooling as education is really important to be able to get a good job in the future. My father has no permanent work. He is a seasonal farm labor only during cropping season. Farm owner hire people as laborer to work on his farm for the scheduled cropping season. He earns very minimal only and can't even support the whole family. We don't have own farm but working only as labor in that farm. Mother has no work and stays at home and do the house chores. Sometimes she was hired as part time nanny. She said if she has at least a small capital she would like to open a small Sari-Sari store and that can be an income generating to help the family also. Since I'm not schooling now, I help mom on the house chores and if we have a chance to open a Sari-Sari store I can help to take care also. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Our living situation is really hard. We sacrifice from muddy surroundings even a little rain so slippery. There are times that we don't have rice to cook, I run to neighbors to borrow rice from them. And I go around at somewhere else in the farm like under the coconut trees to look for some leafy vegetables to cook as our food. Sometimes I only eat boiled banana itself just to fill out my empty stomach. I used to climb on guava tree to pick some fruits if I feel hungry. My sis and bro do the climbing also on the tree to pick fruits and feed their empty stomach. I did climb on the coconut tree also to get young one and eat. I'm the one who gathered firewood also that will be used for cooking. This is the real terrible life we have. You will see when you get here to meet me in person.

My eldest sister got married already and have their own living. My elder brother is in a relationship now also. So, I and mom only are living in this simple and unfinished house. Now I'm worrying about my future life. Thinking of what will happen in the next coming years.
