Sophisticated Country Boy
I am a 65 year old man who grew up on ranch in Central Texas, attended Texas A&M University in wildlife ecology, decided I wanted to become a professor in that same dept., went to Texas Tech and got a M.S., then Utah State and got a Ph.D. My first job was as professor of wildlife ecology at Mississippi State University, then I realized my dream in 1991, by becoming an assistant professor at Texas A&M. I worked in that role for 8 years, became an associate professor along the way, and then became bored and self taught myself computers. I left voluntarily and went to work for United Space Alliance as a Sr. Systems Engineer. A fews years later, I moved into project / program management, working for Northrop Grumman, Systems Made Simple and now Booz Allen Hamilton. I have been married 2 times. My first marriage was for 18 years and my second for 21. So I know about committment. I pride myself on being honest, loyal and having integrity. My parents both lived well into their 90s and as I enter this last chapter of my life I want to spend it with someone I love and who loves me. Seriously. I truly believe this can exist. I have 2 grown boys who are successful in life. I am reasonably intelligent, but no Genius by any means. If I had to do it all over again, I would have majored in business and started my own company. As it were, i grew up on a small ranch and my parents, although educated, could only teach me so much. Only what they knew. So here I am a wage earner with an entrepreneural heart. I am an active man's man. I like to boat, jet ski, snow ski, ebike mountain biking, RV across the western US, ride horses, drive ATVs etc, country western dance, watch romantic movies with my girl, and generally have a good time. I also like to take my significant other out to nice restaurants, concerts, etc. I am equally comfortable dining at a Michelin star restaurant as I am punching cows on horseback. Ladies, I don't think you can find a more well rounded man. I am confident, but not arrogant. Jesus humbled me along the way. I am in excellent health and feel the best I have felt in years since they discovered I had long COVID and was treated for it. Wow what a difference. I am a well read man. I love to read books. Mostly about politics, palentology, space, bible, technology, and anything my curious mind wants to pursue. I love to learn and do new things. I get bored pretty easily and l love challenges. The one thing I have not done is travel much internationally. I have done lots of travel in the United States and Canada, but not too much recently. I have been too busy working and providing for my family. They are all grown and gone now, so I have more time. I am a good man with conservative values, honest, forthright, no bullshit, cowboy type with some refinements taught to me by some good women over the years. I have a Texas drawl, but I am not stupid. I dont really know my IQ, but it is probably around 130. Just a guess. Take the time to get to know me, you will find a good God-fearing person who knows how to treat a woman right.
