I am retired, and have one daughter living at home with me till she graduates high school next year and heads off to college. I have another daughter who lives with me, but who is currently in her first year at college. I own my home by the beach on the Outer Banks in North Carolina, although my closest 'city' option to place was Rocky Mount, a few hours to the west of me. I have been here about 10 years now, although I am open to relocating when my youngest daughter graduates next year. I have a muscular build but currently have some extra weight I am working on getting rid of. I had a few spinal surgeries from my old career and i was laid up for a while and put on some weight. My goal is to get back into great shape again. I would like to find someone who is also about fitness and eating right. I'm not a gym rat or someone who can't enjoy going out for desert, but overall the goal is about staying healthy. I am a little old fashioned. I believe in opening the door for a lady, giving her the coat off my back if she is cold, carrying her if she is tired, being the rock in her life that she can always rely on. I believe in traditional values of treating others with respect, and treating my partner the way she should be treated, as one of the most important parts of my life. I do most things for myself, be it woodworking, electrical, plumbing, whatever... I may be a master at none, but I am always willing to learn and get better. I was a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer for the US Coast Guard for 20 years, I was an E.M.T., I have worked in law enforcement, I have spent my life risking my life to save others, trying to help others, and while I may be retired now, I will always be the type of person who needs that special person in his life who I want to take care of, and protect. I am a very happy person inside, and need to find someone who feels the same. Life is worth enjoying, wake up happy and make every day a great day.
