Opening Horizons
I am semi retired from a Biotech company and now work as a Sales and Operations Manager at two local cemeteries. I feel that I have finally found my niche. To help people who are grieving and going through a difficult time. For me this position is not a business. It's about showing compassion, gentleness and understanding to those who have suffered a loss. I've always been interested in cemeteries. I like the peaceful landscapes, the monuments, the history and the abundance of wildlife and nature. I like to research gravestones and discover the stories that the departed have left behind. No. I'm not creepy or ghoulish.👻. I prefer autumn to summer. Winter can be long, but I don't mind it. I enjoy the quiet nights and the snowfall. Especially, at Christmas time. Christmas is my favorite holiday, but Halloween comes a close second. The autumn air and rustling of the leaves are almost primeval. I walk my dog three times a day every day. We go to various parks and places. Mendon Ponds is great for a good hike. I enjoy rides in the country, sitting by Canandaigua Lake, antique shopping, flea markets or just simply sitting in the backyard by the fire. I've lived alone for a long time. Although I don't mind that, it would be nice to spend some time with a woman with similar interests. All the while opening up my little world with things that interest her. I like going for long walks, candles, holding hands, giving massages and cuddling on the couch with a good movie. I am sort of a cinephile. I own over 1500 films. Crazy huh? I love music and have an extensive CD collection that ranges from AC/DC to John Denver. I do enjoy a few Genny Lites and although I smoke, I consider myself to be a "polite smoker". I wouldn't smoke in someone's presence if it bothered them. I had surgery two years ago for diverticulitis. Although I am better now, I still have to watch what I eat. Nothing too rich or spicy. However, if you are rich and spicy that would be awesome 😎😂.
