I'm originally from Shanghai, China. I've lived and worked in San Diego, USA, my entire life as a physician. Currently, I'm preparing for retirement in Iran, in the Asian Middle East. I work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which has an office in Iran, collaborating with the Iranian government and non-governmental organizations to support refugees, primarily from Afghanistan and Iraq. As an active participant in UNHCR's Executive Committee, China indirectly supports UNHCR's global work and provides bilateral assistance to Iran for refugee hosting, although China does not have a dedicated "China Refugee Agency" entity in Iran. In recent years, China has expanded its refugee assistance through increased funding to UN agencies, bilateral and multilateral diplomatic cooperation, and the development of Chinese civil society activities overseas. I have served as a peer reviewer for Menopause and the Journal of Sexual Medicine and authored a chapter in the third edition of Biosterols in Menopausal Practice: A Clinician's Guide. I have been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Endocrinology and the American Society of Clinical Endocrinology, and am a member of several other medical societies. Currently, I enjoy my retirement as a health manager at a UN clinic. The clinic is affiliated with the United Nations Country Team in Iran and managed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). I am a kind, responsible, humble, and compassionate person. I value life because I have saved it. I am helpful, caring, loyal, tolerant, humble, honest, understanding, and sincere.
